N & N Engineers Ltd. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Technician / Intermediate Environmental Coordinator to join our growing team in North York on a part-time basis!

This position is ideal for an environmental professional in the developing stages of their career who wants to gain hands-on, real-world experience and take on ownership in engineering and land development projects. If you have the right foundation and are willing to learn, we are willing to train!

🔹 What You Will Do:

  • Assist with Phase One ESA, environmental studies, and due diligence projects.

  • Coordinate environmental permit applications and agency submissions.

  • Support data collection, research, and technical report preparation.

  • Review environmental regulations, guidelines, and municipal requirements.

  • Prepare maps, figures, tables, and technical documentation.

  • Attend occasional site visits and field investigations.

🔹 What We Are Looking For:

  • Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Earth Sciences, or a related field.

  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and initiative.

  • Good writing and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Valid Ontario driver's license, GIS, or AutoCAD experience is an asset (but not required).

At N & N Engineers Ltd., we are a North York-based civil engineering consulting firm specializing in land development, site servicing, stormwater management, and municipal infrastructure projects across the GTA. Our team is known for its practical, results-driven approach, collaborative environment, and commitment to delivering high-quality, cost-effective design solutions. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Senior Civil Designer to join our office in North York.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Civil Designer with strong technical abilities and hands-on experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD (2D), Microsoft Excel, and SWMM. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of municipal design standards and land development practices in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed civil engineering design drawings, including site grading, servicing, and stormwater management plans.

  • Model alignments, profiles, corridors, and pipe networks using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Draft construction drawings, detail sheets, and layouts in AutoCAD.

  • Use Excel for quantity take-offs, data summaries, and reporting.

  • Perform stormwater modeling using SWMM (EPA-SWMM) for basic hydrologic/hydraulic analysis.

  • Coordinate with engineers and other team members to meet project deadlines and design standards.

  • Participate in internal design reviews and incorporate feedback.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil design with a focus on land development or municipal infrastructure.

  • Strong proficiency in:

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • AutoCAD (2D)

  • Microsoft Excel

  • SWMM (EPA-SWMM)

  • Familiarity with the following is an asset, but not required:

  • StormCAD

  • SewerCAD

  • WaterCAD

  • WaterGEMS

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline.

  • Knowledge of Ontario design standards and guidelines.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • P.Eng designation is not required for this position.

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering graduate (Diploma or Bachelor's) to join our design team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience and grow in the land development and infrastructure industry.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing civil design drawings, including site grading, servicing, and road layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Work with senior engineers and designers to develop technical drawings from concept to construction

  • Help with the preparation of permit submissions and coordination with municipalities

  • Support field visits to assist with measurements or design verification

  • Incorporate survey and as-built data into design workflows

  • Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and internal quality control

  • Maintain organized project files and drawing records

What We’re Looking For

  • Recent graduate with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or a related field

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (training or academic experience is acceptable)

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to real-world engineering projects

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Interest in land development, infrastructure, and community building

  • A valid Ontario driver’s license is an asset for occasional site visits
