We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering graduate (Diploma or Bachelor's) to join our design team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience and grow in the land development and infrastructure industry.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing civil design drawings, including site grading, servicing, and road layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Work with senior engineers and designers to develop technical drawings from concept to construction

  • Help with the preparation of permit submissions and coordination with municipalities

  • Support field visits to assist with measurements or design verification

  • Incorporate survey and as-built data into design workflows

  • Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and internal quality control

  • Maintain organized project files and drawing records

What We’re Looking For

  • Recent graduate with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or a related field

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (training or academic experience is acceptable)

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to real-world engineering projects

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Interest in land development, infrastructure, and community building

  • A valid Ontario driver’s license is an asset for occasional site visits

Job Description (Requirements)

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer with approximately 3 years of practical experience to join our growing team. This position involves working on a wide range of infrastructure and development projects, with responsibilities covering field investigation, technical analysis, and engineering design.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver who is comfortable working in both field and office environments and enjoys collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate geotechnical field investigations, including drilling, test pits, and in-situ testing.

  • Analyze subsurface conditions and prepare engineering recommendations for foundations, earthworks, and slope stability.

  • Prepare clear and detailed technical reports and memos.

  • Work closely with civil, structural, and environmental teams to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Provide technical input and support during the design and construction phases.

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Geological, or Mining Engineering (or related field).

  • 3+ years of relevant geotechnical experience in consulting, construction, or related industries.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
